FAQs

Whatever question you have, we’ve got you. If there’s anything we’ve missed that you want to know, just email us on info@tcclife.com or DM us @tcclife and we’ll go from there.

WILL I RECEIVE A QUALIFICATION ON COMPLETION?

Leadership College isn’t yet accredited but this is something we are looking into. The best thing about Leadership College is not necessarily the head knowledge, but the experience of being hands on in a growing church community that are thinking innovatively about real life and leadership. Our approach is not only to learn some helpful tools for leadership, theology and engage in important conversations, but to be in an environment where you can have the ability to create change and work closely with our teams and staff to be part of something bigger, taking away vital skills for any sphere of life.

WHEN DO APPLICATIONS OPEN? WHEN DOES LEADERSHIP COLLEGE RUN FROM?

Applications for 2022-23 are now open, simply see our apply tab on this site. Leadership College runs from mid September to late June and has regular breaks that match local school holidays in the UK.
If you are interested in joining us for next years’ intake, email us at info@tcclife.com and we will arrange a call with you to discuss our 2023-24 intake.

AM I TOO OLD FOR LEADERSHIP COLLEGE?

There is no age limit to Leadership College and our class is a mix of ages as well as ethnicities. The main group of the year is predominantly 18-28 year old who study with us before or after university, but the experience is designed for all ages and life stages.

I AM NOT A UK NATIONAL AND I LIVE OVERSEAS. WILL I BE ABLE TO DO LEADERSHIP COLLEGE?

Laws have changed since Brexit, but it is still possible to do Leadership College under certain circumstances. The best thing to do is email us and arrange to speak with one of our team who will be able to help you.

I DON’T WANT TO BE A CHURCH LEADER. IS LEADERSHIP COLLEGE AIMED AT CREATING CHURCH STAFF AND LEADERS?

Leadership College is for you if you want to develop as a leader who wants to become more like Jesus. Irrespective of whether you feel you want to go into a particular career, lead a faith community, or simply want to grow personally and up skill, our content and experience is diverse. We prioritise investment from different individuals who have different backgrounds, work in different sectors, and have varied experiences and views.

I ALREADY HAVE A JOB AND NEED TO KEEP IT TO PAY THE BILLS! IS LEADERSHIP COLLEGE FLEXIBLE?

Yes. Our College days are on site at The Edge, on Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30-4pm during local school term time. We also will engage you with a volunteer team which is likely to operate on a Sunday at our Gathering.

I HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN, CAN I STILL APPLY?

Absolutely. We have parents of all different ages who have completed Leadership College. In fact, we’ve designed our termly and weekly schedules around the ability to maintain family commitments, including observing local school term times.

DO YOU OFFER NIGHT CLASSES?

We don’t currently offer any night classes. Because the best thing we bring to the table is the experience of College – being on site and with our staff and team in person, we place a high emphasis on learning by being immersed in our culture and developing relationships face to face.

I’M NOT PART OF TCC. CAN I APPLY TO DO COLLEGE?

We have had previous students who have not been part of TCC during their time as students. Although we believe the way you’ll get the best out of Leadership College is by committing to be a part of our community for the time you’re at LC, we are definitely open to a conversation if you want to remain in your own local church. Please contact us to speak further with one of the College team.

I’M THINKING OF APPLYING, CAN I VISIT BEFORE I DO?

Of course you can. Feel free to contact us and arrange a personal visit midweek; you’re also welcome to bring your parents or church leaders. Our TCC Sunday Gathering would be a good environment to be part of to understand more of what we’re about.
